ABOUT LASH LIFT - BEFORE AND AFTERCARE

WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?
The lash lift procedure has revolutionised the old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions and the associated aftercare or lash curlers, this treatment will last you 6-8 weeks and is combined with a free lash tint meaning mascara is not needed until the tint fades.

CAN I USE ANYTHING ELSE TO COMPLIMENT MY LASH LIFTS?
Yes! Many clients use lash growth products and Catherine will recommend which to try. This is a great way to make the most of your natural lashes alongside lash lift.

IS A LASH LIFT THE SAME AS AN EYELASH PERM?
No, Lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of its predecessor. Whilst the chemical procedure is similar to a perm, the difference is in the results. By ditching the old fashioned perm rollers which curled back the lashes to the extent of the ‘dolly look’, the silicone pads used for this new procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.

DOES THE LASH LIFT PROCEDURE HURT?
No, the procedure is totally painless. You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment which is great opportunity to take a nap, as most clients do!

IS THE PROCEDURE SAFE?
Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting pads before products are applied. We do however, ask that clients wearing contact lenses, wear glasses to and from treatment.

WILL THE LASH LIFT DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES??
No, however please ensure correct aftercare is followed.

HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT TAKE?
55-60 minutes.

HOW LONG WILL A LASH LIFT LAST?
A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.

DO I NEED A PATCH TEST?
Yes. All new clients must be patch tested.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER MY LASH LIFT?
Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24-48 hours after your treatment.

CAN I USE AN EYELASH CURLER?
No. There will be no need for an eyelash curler as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler, But more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes.

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE ADVISE?
Avoid water, oils, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours. Avoid mascara for 48 hours.
